A LAUNCESTON man who allegedly took capsicum spray into the foyer of the Supreme Court in Launceston and sprayed a rival has been remanded in custody.
Caine Robert Richardson, 26, of no fixed address, appeared by video link in the Launceston Magistrates Court charged with unlawfully possessing a dangerous article in a public place.
Mr Richardson was also charged with common assault for spraying Robert Craig Williams and grabbing him in a headlock on October 12.
Yet to plead, the accused also faced a charge of resisting police and possessing a prohibited thing – namely OC spray in a court.
Magistrate Michael Brett remanded Mr Richardson to reappear on November 5 via video link.
