Gryffin – Biography, Age

Dan Griffith, known by the stage name- Gryffin, was born on September 29, 1987 in San Francisco, United States of America. Since the beginning of his career, he has been doing well enough to be recognized around the world for a very short time.

Gryffin, from an early age, has always been musically inclined. He learned to play classical guitar and piano as a child. Furthermore, he also performed in bands with his peers to improve his instrument mastery skills.

When he entered school, Gryffin began by listening to songs by Avicii, Deadmau5, Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia which were all good. This inspired him a lot and soon after he started creating and releasing his own music. To do this, Dan devoted his free time in his dorm at the University of Southern California to working on his passion. His main purpose of making songs then was to have friends play them at college parties, but little did he know this was going to become a career for him.

By the time Gryffin finished college, earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, he had taken a deep dive into music, so he decided to pursue that career, which prompted him to move to Los Angeles.

It turned out that the DJ’s decision to move was one of his current professional achievements. He started touring in January 2015 and exactly one year later he released his first original song On the Way Home on January 22, 2016. In the composition of the song he featured Australian singer Josef Salvat, while the song itself was inspired by his travels and the experiences he had discovering new places. In August of the same year, Gryffin released another song called Whole Heart in collaboration with British singer Adio Marchant, known as Bipolar Sunshine.

Feeling Good In 2017, Gryffin collaborated with artists Dayton and Illenium, from Pittsburgh. Dan Griffith ended 2017 with two more singles titled Love in the Ruins and Nobody. In 2018 he kicked off the year with Winnebago which is a song he collaborated with Quinn XCII and Daniel Wilson to bring to fruition. As he usually doesn’t have a song for an entire year, the American DJ dropped another single titled Just for a Moment featuring Norwegian singer, Iselin.

Gryffin has not only been successful in his music career, but he has also become famous among fans in the United States. The artist has performed at many music festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Governor’s Ball, Lollapalooza and of course the annual Coachella Music Festival.
