BIOGRAPHY
Born in Los Angeles, Heather Locklear is the eldest of four children. While studying at the University of California, she began posing for photos and appearing in advertisements. At the beginning of the 80s, she made her debut on television by landing small roles in series like CHiPs or Huit, ça suffice! . Very quickly, she was noticed by producer Aaron Spelling who hired her to play in Dynasty , then in Hooker , alongside William Shatner . The actress must then reconcile the two shoots simultaneously, the production of Dynasty having to adapt to her busy schedule.
In 1989, she won the Worst Actress award for her role in the film Return of the Creature from the Lagoon , then got a role in the series Going Places , which did not make it past the first season. Success arrived in 1992, when Aaron Spelling called on his protégé to boost the plot of Melrose Place , a spin-off from Beverly Hills . Heather Locklear becomes the ruthless Amanda Woodward, a businesswoman as beautiful as she is ambitious. This is the consecration for the actress who is considered the star of the series, for which she received no less than four successive nominations at the Golden Globes.
When Melrose Place was canceled in 1999, Heather Locklear returned to comedy, starring alongside Michael J. Fox and then Charlie Sheen in the comedy Spin City . Success is once again achieved and the actress confirms her status as a star of the small screen.

The year 2009 marks the return of Amanda Woodward since Heather Locklear agrees to reprise her cult role in the remake of Melrose Place . His return does not cause the audiences to take off, however, and the CW decides not to renew the series at the end of the first season.
