How do I prevent an episode from being added to my history?
When you start watching a show or movie that isn’t part of your current membership, Hulu will notify you by displaying a message at the bottom of the screen during playback and asking if you wish to make this content available for future viewing through My Stuff. If you select Don’t Add, your video won’t be stored with other items in My Stuff and it won’t be recorded as part of your viewing activity (i.e., what’s watched or not) unless you select Record. Learn more about recording videos for future viewing.
Are my video choices used to customize the content I see on Hulu?
Yes. In order to provide you with the most relevant and personalized experience, we may use information about your usage habits (including what you watched or recorded) to enhance or personalize your content selections whenever possible. This means that occasionally if a title is available from multiple sources, our system will make an educated guess as to which version (i.e., network/studio or language) you would like based on previously viewed selections and other information such as general genre preferences and profile information (or any other dynamically updated data). You can always override these recommendations by selecting a different version of the title.

You may occasionally see titles with a yellow message icon if there are unknown issues preventing us from serving your video request.
