BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Brooklyn, Omar Epps was a student at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts in New York. Since 1991, he has regularly alternated between the small and big screen. It was with the film Juice by Ernest Dickerson that he made his cinema debut.
In 1996, Omar Epps starred in Spoof Movie , a schoolboy comedy written by his childhood friend, Marlon Wayans . He also distinguished himself on television, for one season, playing Dr. Dennis Gant in the cult series Urgences . In 1997, Wes Craven offered him a role in his slasher Scream 2 . Omar Epps also wrote the family comedy Breakfast of Champions (1999), as well as a modern variation of Dracula (2000). More recently, the actor found himself On the Ropes , sharing the poster with Meg Ryan , before playing opposite Jude Law who plays an inveterate flirt in Irresistible Alfie .
