He had also traveled to London as part of the heavyweight unification series.

In 1995, at the age of 38, he was signed by HBO and paired in high-profile fights with cruiserweight champion Al Cole. In 2003, he retired from his wrestling career after competing with him in the 2003 Thunderbox Heavyweight Tournament against Cedric Kushner. After that, he started training boxers and also trained his son Tim Jr.
