Alaska: The Last Frontier
An American reality cable television program called Alaska: The Last Frontier debuted on the Discovery Channel on December 29, 2011. Yule and Ruth Kilcher, descendants of Swiss immigrants and Alaskan pioneers, are featured in the program as they live at their homestead 11 miles outside of Homer with their extended family. The clan decides to survive by farming, hunting, and preparing for the long winters by forgoing modern heating. Jewel, a singer who has appeared on the show, is related to the Kilcher family (Atz is her father). On October 25, 2020, the tenth season debuted. It was announced in September 2022 that season 11 would premiere in October 2022.

Atz Lee Kilcher nearly perished in 2017 while hiking at a resort in Alaska after sliding down a cliff. Atz Lee Kilcher, an experienced hiker, suffered a horrible fall while trekking in Otter Cove, according to a message from his wife that was posted on Facebook at the time. His wounds included two pierced lungs, a crushed rib cage, a broken arm, a fractured shoulder, a broken ankle, and a broken hip. He was hiking with a companion who also fell but suffered only minor wounds. Atz Lee's path to recovery will be complex and protracted, so the family is grateful for everyone's kind vibes during this trying time.
