The racing driver was born as Kurt Thomas Busch in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 4, 1978. He was raised by his parents, Thomas and Gaye Busch alongside a brother, Kyle Busch.
Ever since he was a child, Kurt has always been interested in motor racing thanks to his father who was also a racing driver. This fueled the interest of young Kurt as well as that of his brother who, in addition to starting to drive, also crewed his older brother.
Starting with his father’s dwarf car, he won a competition only in his second try as a teenager. Soon enough, it was obvious he was made for the sport after recording 10 straight wins in his first year as a young driver. Such a promise was enough for his father to fire his dwarf and get a powerful car for his 10-year-old son to give it a shot.
For his education, Kurt Busch started at Durango High School from where he graduated and studied pharmacy at the University of Arizona although it was clear he was meant to be on wheels.
Since his debut at the age of 14, Kurt has come a long way with various teams, including Roush Racing (2000-2005), Penske Racing South (2006-2008), Penske Championship Racing (2009-2010), Penske Racing (2011), Phoenix Racing (2012), Furniture Row Racing (2012-2013), and Stewart-Haas Racing with whom he has worked since 2014.
As part of his achievements, he won the Nextel Cup series in 2004, Coca-Cola 600 and NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race in 2010, Budweiser Shootout in 2011 and Daytona 500 (2017).

Shortly after the claim, the “trained assassin” came forward alleging that Busch assaulted her by grabbing her and slamming her head against the wall. In his denial of the claim, Busch said that Patricia Driscoll is not only a trained assassin who has had secret assignments in various parts of the world, including Africa and Central and South America, he claims that she came home in a trench coat covering a bloodstained dress.
Further before meeting and dating Driscoll, Busch was in a relationship with Eva Busch who was the first girlfriend known to have dated the NASCAR man. After dating since 2003, the two married in 2006 before divorcing in 2011.
The next woman to become his girlfriend and future wife is Ashley Van Meter who he married in 2017 in the Caribbean.
